Questions & Answers

How many people will be cleaning my home?

Generally, we work in teams of two, but there are occasions when we use a bigger crew. Each team has a supervisor or crew leader who is responsible for checking service quality before the team leaves the home.

What time will the cleaning team arrive at my home?

Our scheduled operating hours are by appointment—meaning we work around your schedule. When you make an appointment, we commit to starting work during a specified window of time. We will discuss your time preferences during the initial in-home walkthrough and do our best to adhere to those preferences.

How can I prepare for the cleaning job?

To give you the best value for your money we ask that you tidy up before we clean. For residential cleans, this means that clothes, dishes, toys, and papers are not left in places that need to be cleaned. For commercial cleans this means that important documents are stored prior to cleaning. If you have further questions about how to tidy up before we clean, please contact our office.

Do I need to provide any cleaning supplies?

Abigail’s Cleaning and Disinfecting Services comes to your home fully equipped with cleaning supplies and quality equipment.

How is payment made for services?

Payment for cleaning services is due the same day as the work and can be made via Paypal, Cashapp, Venmo, Cash, Credit, or Debit Card (all card payments are made through quickbooks invoicing).

 

What are the options for making a payment?

Can you enter my home, office, daycare, etc., when I’m absent?

Yes, we can. Most customers prefer to provide us with a key that is secured in our office. However, we do have customers that leave us a key in a safe place. To enter your home, office, daycare, etc., alarm systems must either be turned off by you before you leave, or you can give us entry/exit codes. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact our office.

How do you protect my keys?

Customer keys are given to the supervisor on the first day of your service. At the end of the day, our supervisors returns customer keys to the manager, and the manager secures the keys in a protected place.

Will the same team clean my home each visit?

In most cases, yes. However, sickness, vacation time, and other scheduling issues may require another staff member to clean in place of your usual team.

How long does it take your staff to complete a cleaning job?

The cleaning time is dependent on the size, condition, and the needs of the space. Cleaning time estimates will be established during an initial walkthrough.

How is a price for my home determined?

We base the fee on the condition and size of your home. Cleaning price quotes will be established during an initial walkthrough.

If I have pets, do I need to secure them while your team is cleaning?

All our employees are animal friendly. However, we do ask that you secure your pet if you know that your pet is hyper-protective of your home while you’re away. We love animals, but we don’t want your pet or our team to feel threatened.

What happens if one of your employees is injured in my home?

All of our employees are covered under our Workers’ Compensation Insurance. State law requires this. You cannot be sued or held liable for any injury to our employees. This is one of the benefits of hiring a professional cleaning company to clean your home.

What if I am not satisfied with the cleaning that was done?

We want you to be happy. If something does not meet your expectations we request that you talk to the team supervisor and call our office within 24 hours. We will note your concerns on a service report so that it is promptly taken care of and corrected for the next visit.
